After Osborn reveals that he knows Peter is Spider-Man, he informs him that he will keep his secret. This continues to haunt Peter even when he returns home. Nico offers to take Peter to the movies, but he tells her that he is having dinner with Osborn. In an empty diner, Peter tries to tell Osborn that he is not Spider-Man, but he sees through his lie. He reveals that after saving his son Harry, he began gathering possible candidates for who Spider-Man is, eventually settling on Amadeus, Jeanne, Asha, and Peter himself. He offers to help him, but Peter politely declines. Osborn leaves the door open to any possibility and investigation.
