The Principality of Zeon is at war with the Earth Federation. On September 18, 0079, Zeon Commander Lieutenant Char Aznable leads a raid on the space colony of Side 7. There, he discovers the Earth Federation’s new weapon, the RX-78-2 Gundam, left behind there. He then decides to steal it for himself, setting off a domino effect that changes history as we know it forever. Five years later, in the independent colony of Side 6, a young Newtype girl goes on the hunt for the missing RX-78-2 Gundam. It is not long before events land her in the pilot’s seat of the new Gundam prototype GQuuuuuuuX and enters her into an underground Mobile Suit Battle Contest. Surrounded by new friends, she tries to understand her strange abilities and find her place in the world. She dreams of the sky where she can fly freely.
